From the Collection – Butterflies In Love with Flowers

Since the fourth century, Chinese art has combined painting,
poetry and calligraphy to tell stories. Taking segments of ancient
poems, Justin blends calligraphy into his portrait photography to
evoke the moods and spirit of historic Chinese art. By placing it in
the negative space of the frame, he balances his compositions
and brings a more sensual, contemplative response to the portraits.
